Two-Way Bilingual Immersion Program
About the Program
Two - Way Bilingual Immersion Program
Option for Kindergarten Families
- The Two-Way Spanish Immersion Program at Reynolds School is a language-oriented program designed to build fluency in both Spanish and English. Native Spanish and English speaking children have the opportunity to develop their listening, speaking and writing skills in both languages.
- In the Reynolds Two-Way Spanish Immersion Program, Spanish is used as the primary language of instruction in the first years. English is introduced gradually into the curriculum. All students receive a high quality instructional program centered on academic success in both Spanish and English.
- The goal of the program is for all students to become biliterate and bilingual in two languages - English and the "target" language Spanish.
- Families that are interested in learning more about the program may stop by or call the front office at: (760) 901-7200.
Success in Dual Immersion
Reynolds Elementary is preparing students to be successful in the 21st century by offering a dual immersion program in Spanish, encouraging digital citizenship, incorporating communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking while also implementing the Common Core State Standards in lessons and activities.
